Biography
Recording project of Troms酶 musician Geir Jenssen, a founder of ambient house whose 'Microgravity' (1991) on #R&S Records# and 'Substrata' (1997) defined 'arctic ambient'. Jenssen began in *Bel Canto* and has since worked across film scores, installations and collaborations. His loops, samples and field recordings evoke polar light and weather, making Biosphere a benchmark of place-based electronic music. Few electronic artists have made landscape so audible.
