Biography
Crippled Black Phoenix is a prolific musical collective led by multi-instrumentalist *Justin Greaves*, known for their sprawling, cinematic sound that defies easy categorization. Often described as "endtime ballads," their music fuses elements of post-rock, progressive rock, and dark folk with a distinctively British melancholia. Since their 2007 debut "A Love of Shared Disasters", the group has functioned as a revolving door of talented collaborators, creating immersive concept albums that explore themes of history, social injustice, and human resilience. Their sound is characterized by dramatic shifts in scale, ranging from intimate acoustic passages to thunderous, orchestral rock crescendos.
