Biography
Brazilian singer, guitarist and composer from Rio de Janeiro, a provocateur of the tropic谩lia era whose songs were recorded by *Gal Costa* and *Maria Beth芒nia*. His albums 'Jards Macal茅' (1972), 'Banquete dos Mendigos' (1973) and 'Aprender a Nadar' (1974) mixed samba, rock and avant-garde provocation, and he enjoyed a celebrated late resurgence before his death in 2025. His influence runs through Brazilian popular music, from tropic谩lia to the contemporary MPB scene that rediscovered him.
