Biography
Lake of Tears is a Swedish gothic metal band formed in Borås in 1992. Led by singer and guitarist Daniel Brennare, the band blended doom metal melancholy with gothic and psychedelic touches on albums including 'Greater Art', 'Headstones', 'A Crimson Cosmos' and 'Forever Autumn'. Later records such as 'The Neonai' and 'Illwill' kept the band's sombre songwriting at the centre, and Lake of Tears returned in 2021 with 'Ominous' after a ten-year gap between studio albums.
