Biography
Leviathan is the solo black metal project of *Jef Whitehead*, called Wrest, born in Stanton, California, in 1969. Begun in San Francisco in 1998, it is recorded entirely by Whitehead alone. Albums such as 'The Tenth Sub Level of Suicide' (2003), 'Massive Conspiracy Against All Life' (2008) and 'Scar Sighted' (2015), the last on #Profound Lore Records#, made Leviathan one of the defining names in American black metal. Whitehead is also a noted tattoo artist.
