Biography
Oasis was an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1991. Spearheaded by brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, the group's Beatles-indebted sound and anthemic songwriting defined the 1990s Britpop movement. Their first two albums, "Definitely Maybe" (1994) and "(What's the Story) Morning Glory?" (1995), were monumental commercial successes, establishing them as a global phenomenon. After years of lineup changes and internal strife, the band dissolved in 2009 following Noel Gallagher's departure. In August 2024, the band announced its reformation for a 2025 tour.
