Biography
Polish klezmer quartet formed in Kraków in 1997 by accordionist Jarosław Bester with Jarosław Tyrala, Oleg Dyyak and Wojciech Front. The group replaced traditional dance repertoire with dark, virtuosic original compositions released on *John Zorn*'s #Tzadik# label, including 'De Profundis' and 'Bereshit'. In January 2007 the same line-up renamed itself the Bester Quartet and continued recording under that name in Poland.
