Biography

Chicago-born singer-songwriter whose wry, macabre writing produced 'Werewolves of London', 'Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner' and 'Lawyers, Guns and Money'. A fixture of the 1970s Los Angeles scene around *Jackson Browne*, Zevon lost years to addiction before a sober late career, ending with 'The Wind' (2003), made in full knowledge of his terminal illness and released shortly before his death.
