Biography
Fleetwood Mac were a British American rock band formed in London in 1967 by guitarist Peter Green, named after drummer Mick Fleetwood and bassist John McVie. The original group played British blues and topped the UK chart with the instrumental 'Albatross' in 1968. After Green left in 1970 and several lineups passed, singer Stevie Nicks and guitarist Lindsey Buckingham joined Fleetwood, McVie and keyboardist Christine McVie in 1975, forming the classic lineup behind 'Fleetwood Mac' (1975) and 'Rumours' (1977), one of the best selling albums of all time. The band continued through further changes until Christine McVie's death in 2022 ended the group.
