Biography
King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard is a hyper-prolific Australian rock band formed in Melbourne in 2010, celebrated for its relentless sonic exploration and genre-hopping discography. The group traverses a vast spectrum from garage and psychedelic rock to thrash metal, jazz fusion, microtonal music, and synth-pop. Renowned for their formidable rate of production, which famously included releasing five distinct studio albums in 2017 alone, their work often involves conceptual narratives, such as the infinitely looping 'Nonagon Infinity'. Through their own label, #KGLW#, and a fiercely independent ethos, the band has cultivated a dedicated global following, cementing their status as a unique and influential force in modern rock.
