LCD Soundsystem

LCD Soundsystem is the influential American rock project masterminded by musician and producer James Murphy, co-founder of the #DFA# record label. Formed in Brooklyn, New York, the band became a key figure in the 2000s dance-punk scene, merging post-punk grit with electronic dance grooves and disco sensibilities. Their debut single, 'Losing My Edge', was a self-aware anthem for aging music hipsters. Subsequent albums like the acclaimed 'Sound of Silver' and 'This Is Happening' solidified their reputation for witty, poignant songwriting and meticulously crafted soundscapes. After a high-profile farewell in 2011, the band reunited in 2015, later releasing the Grammy-winning album 'American Dream'.
