Biography
Godflesh are a pioneering English band formed in Birmingham in 1988, widely regarded as founders of the industrial metal genre. The core duo of Justin Broadrick and *G.C. Green* emerged from their previous band, *Fall of Because*, to create a groundbreaking sound fusing metal's intensity with industrial's cold mechanization. Their landmark debut album, 'Streetcleaner', released on #Earache Records#, is defined by Broadrick's guttural vocals, dissonant guitar, Green's overpowering bass, and the relentless pulse of a drum machine. After a hiatus, the band returned with acclaimed albums like 'A World Lit Only by Fire' and 'Post Self', cementing their legacy as a profoundly influential force in heavy music.
