Godflesh

Godflesh are a pioneering English band formed in Birmingham in 1988. As one of the first acts to fuse metal with industrial music, they are widely cited as founders of the industrial metal genre. The core duo of Justin Broadrick and G.C. Green emerged from the ashes of their previous band, *Fall of Because*, creating a groundbreaking sound defined by Broadrick's guttural vocals and dissonant guitar, Green's overpoweringly distorted bass, and the cold, relentless pulse of a drum machine. Their debut album, 'Streetcleaner', released on #Earache Records#, is a landmark of heavy music, celebrated for its bleak, oppressive atmosphere inspired by their urban industrial surroundings.
